Drive Safe Missoula truck covered in bumber stickers to promote diversity and inclusion as it relates to traffic safety, driving sober, wearing seat belts, and car seats.

Throughout Missoula County, our roads are on and cross through the traditional lands of many Indigenous peoples including the

Selis (Salish), Ksanka (Kootenai), and Qlispe (Kalispel).  Additional tribes such as the Amskapi Pikuni (Blackfeet), Nimiipuu (Nez Perce), Shoshone, Bannock, and Schitsu’umsh (Coeur D’Alene) share in the centuries old relationships with this land.

Drive Safe Missoula acknowledges the past systems which led to the removal, oppression, and marginalization of Indigenous people in Montana and throughout the nation.

Today, with deep respect in our heart and honor in our actions, Drive Safe Missoula is working to positively improve the safety of travelers across this land.  We work to ensure justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for all.

With this image, we try to visually depict our deep respect for this land and all people.  We are all dependent on one another to travel safely.
